Landscape Analysis for Retail Consultancy

Digital transformation means using digital technologies to creat game-changing business innovations. This can be done through the disruption of existing industries, creating whole new ones, or identifying ways to surprise, delight, and inspire consumers. Retail still has one thin about it that simply cannot change: retail involves transferring possession of physical goods to a consumer. The transfer of real, physical goods to a consumer is both the biggest difference retail faces when taking on digital transformation, and also the biggest inhibitor that locks retailers into thinking that digital transformation isn’t going to impact them like other industries. This landscape analysis was created by Rabih I., Kayla K., Nicole P., and Catie-Reagan.

What the heck is strategic design?

I received a Master’s of Science in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design. The program brings together a diverse group of aspiring creatives to initiate and lead change in emerging fields: business professionals wishing to address business challenges through design, design practitioners seeking to acquire expertise in business and leadership, and entrepreneurs looking to develop transformative business propositions for an evolving global economy. Led by world-class faculty, the program is both academically rigorous and practice-oriented, providing hands-on learning experiences. Through these past two years of study, Catie-Reagan feels confident in her abilities to use design thinking to create, shape, and govern a new era of human ingenuity. By fusing and infusing economic logic, business rationality, and organizational reality with the powerful notion of design thinking, in particular, she is able to successfully integrate creativity with business strategies.
